Channel 4 News: MEDIA: ‘CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER’ RACIST BULLYING ROW: CHANNEL 4 TO LAUNCH REVIEW

Channel 4 have said that the programme ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will remain on the air, for now, although there was no mention of its long term future. Channel 4 will be launching a review into the racism row, and promised to identify lessons to be learned for the future. However, it is a response which has come days too late for some critics, they have condemned the Channel for failing to act swiftly enough over allegations of racist bullying on the show.

I cannot get anything on the Sri Lanka attrocities

  2. Frank,

Apologies for the delay in replying to your question. JISC Mediahub contains material from various news collections including those of ITN and we do therefore have a substantial amount of material giving background to the situation in Sri Lanka. The best way to find this material is to go to the main JISC MediaHub page: http://jiscmediahub.ac.uk/, choose to search with or without logging in, and then look for “Sri Lanka” (you can search from the top right hand text box) then filter your search using the tools on the right hand side of the results page – the filter for date will probably be most relevant here.

You may find the Channel 4 News website on the Civil War in Sri Lanka (http://www.channel4.com/news/sri-lanka-civil-war) useful as they have conducted major reporting in the region this year.

I have also copied this reply to your similar question on another page.

    Many thanks,

    Nicola Osborne,
    Social Media Officer for EDINA.
